Beginning Monday, top-performing mutual funds such as Brandywine will be seeing new money, which they will use to buy the stocks that have been working for them. In the case of Brandywine, that means buying Kohl's ( KSS:NYSE - news - research - Cramer's Take), Nike (NKE:NYSE - news - research - Cramer's Take), Allstate (ALL:NYSE - news - research - Cramer's Take), Weatherford International ( WFT:NYSE - news - research - Cramer's Take), Chesapeake Energy (CHK:NYSE - news - research - Cramer's Take), Phelps Dodge (PD:NYSE - news - research - Cramer's Take), Union Pacific (UNP:NYSE - news - research - Cramer's Take), Nabors Industries (NBR:Amex - news - research - Cramer's Take), CVS ( CVS:NYSE - news - research - Cramer's Take) and American Eagle Outfitters (AEOS:Nasdaq - news - research - Cramer's Take).

Round 2
Cramer has changed his mind on CMED - China Medical Technology and now he wants you to buy it. I don't think I will.
I am too tied up in oil and natural gas. Just wait till this winter and see if you can pay you Natural gas bill this year.
For those of you on the East coast, good luck with that.
Oh and Cramer doesn't think you're diversified, so if you are then you probably aren't. Whatever that means.
Another good Natural gas play which I don't happen to own is BTU, I'll pick that up tomorrow and that will be the end of it for me.

All oiled up
Get your minds out of the gutter people. I figure I'll stick to whats hot so I am all natural gas and oil now. As of this morning I have dumped all my losers (PENN, MSO, ...) with the exception of NWACQ of course since I plan to keep that stock for when I buy out that company outright. So here is a list of all the oil and natural gas stocks I now own:
EPL
NFX
PQUE
CHK
VLO
XEC
ECA
HAL
GW
SLB
Now lets see what this Hurricane can really do. With all this oil and natural gas I think I am ready to set this portfolio on fire.

Cramer's Tuesday Picks
Cramer thinks that China will need Nickle to build stuff so the symbol is N. Buy it now. But for longer term.
EPL - This is the one he likes a lot. Its another oil play so if you have lots of oil already you might want to swap a bit
NFX - Another oil play, also seems great
PQUE - This is coastal so I don't like it that much but hey same oil play
CHK - This is a great Natural gas play but as we already know not as good as ECA
He also picked PG which I am not too crazy about.
Jim thinks housing will take a huge hit so go on and short all that housing stuff. Thank you Greenspan. Maybe we can all afford homes again soon.
In light of the new storm I have this idea of selling everything and going all oil and natural gas tomorrow. Anyone wanna fallow me down the rabbit hole?

GOOG
From Engadget today:
Man, this whole GoogleNet thing is getting sticky and suspicious and interesting—a real page turner, if you ask us. So if you recall, we reported before that Google was supposedly buying up unused fiber and spare backbone bandwidth like crazy—enough to move some serious, serious data. Then yesterday our man Om pointed out IP Democracy 's report that Google has been further reviewing bids for building a nationwide DWDM (dense wavelength division multiplexing) fiber network, one theoretically capable of terabit speeds, and at the bargain basement price of under $100 million—apparently this thing could even be up and running in months, according to their sources. Yes, we know how crazy-conspiracy-theory this stuff sounds sounds, but where it goes from here is increasingly less questionable. So even though Goog can easily snap up all this backbone bandwidth, they're left with the last mile issue, hence speculation of a WiMax or WiFi network. Now today it's come out that yes, they actually have a piece of working WiFi VPN software to download called Google Secure Access, and that it "is only available at certain locations in the San Francisco Bay Area"—coincidence that that's where they happen to have a test bed of location-tracking WiFi hotspots to provide Google-local based ads on top of free WiFi access? And knowing Google, of course they'd want VPN software running on "GoogleNet," what kind of PR nightmare would it be for them having millions across the nation getting online on open WiFi on account of the "do no harm" company? Ordinarily we might say this is all kind of crackpot speculation, but these pieces keep falling together and it's kind of freaking us out.

Never catch a falling knife
Well I think I have learned a great lesson from all this NWACing lately. The lesson is this if you care to share my new found wisdom.
* NEVER put money on pure speculation. Its okay to take risks and I will continue to do so. But buying a down stock thinking you think you know whats going on and speculating huge gains is a big mistake.
* Don't catch a falling knife. If a stock begins to fall heavily, get out of its way. Don't keep buying thinking you're lowering your average. That only works with stable blue chips that fall a fraction of a percent here and there.
* Don't be afraid to sell low. No matter how much your losses are don't mistake them for a complete loss. Getting out with your head slightly above water shows discipline.
With all that said. Recommendations for today are two of Jim's favorite picks of the week:
1) LF - Leap Frog , but don't buy this above 14.25
2) BSC - BEAR STEARNS - Buy this NOW!!!
And if you didn't get a chance to pick up some GOOG I'd say it might see 298 again sometime soon. Probably tomorrow.
Happy trading.

Google me up some of that
Today is the day to buy Google if you're gonna buy at all. Those $4.4 B in shares go on sale today which is bound to drop the price by a hefty sum. After that happens I would say stock up cause this thing probably won't stop till $350 then.

Hurricane Donations
Hi guys,
I know you're all just trying to find a way to donate some money. There are a lot of scams on the web trying to steal your money. The following link is a red cross link hosted by MSN and its legit. So now that the biggest obstacle is out of the way, go ahead, lets see some $$. Especially those of you in the investment list that have been e-mailing me and saying how much money you've made on certain stocks lately.
SHLD I or SHLDn't I?
Jim seems to think you should. Sears Holding Company (SHLD) is and has been one of Jim's picks for a while. But now that they are at a good low and under new leadership this may be the right time to pick up this Berkshire Hathaway wannabe. I personally won't be buying this until I see three consecutive days of upward trade. Its up nicely today but from what Jim says in a few years this stock will trade in the thousands. I just don't see Sears stores coming back anytime soon. The way I look at it they have some real problems:
1) A serious branding problem
2) Lots of prime but unused real estate which should probably be sold to gain cash to resolve problem #1
3) An integration nightmare between the two giants.
4) Effects of Katrina
However Jim seems to think that all those factors are already factored into the price and this is the time to buy.

Just a note about the greatest company that ever was. I don't know if you have had a chance to use google talk to actually talk to someone yet. Well, I have to tell you that its amazing. And today the launched their mobile client for google talk. So now you should be able to use google talk on your wifi enable device. What this means is that if your phone is wifi enabled (and someday soon they all will be) then you don't have to pay for minute to talk to others who also have google talk. Comprende? ITS HUGE! and its exactly what I thought they were going to do with it. I would say wait and see if you can get in at a good price and then hang on again till 320 or so. I think tomorrow will be an up day again for Google.
On another note, if you've made any money on the market recently, then you have no doubt listened to my oil stock pick (and avoided my NWAC fiasco) so now that you're feeling rich maybe you can afford to donate a few bucks to those less fortunate who have lost everything they have. Everywhere you look there is a way to help so don't make any excuses.

Some New Picks
So its seems everyone is saying this recent disaster will certainly keep the feds from raising rates. That may be a good thing. But I can tell you that if the fed does raise rates again next time around that will be for sure the end of the housing market as we know it. So how do you play housing without the potential for that kind of disaster? One way would be to short some positions like TOL and KBH. But there are some serious risks associated with shorting stocks which I won't get into. You other option is to get into a housing play that is going to be growing in the next 10 years, and does not depend on interest rates. Sound to good to be true? Well, I got just the stock you need. Homex (HMX) is a Mexican home builder building homes in Latin America. This is where Americans with money are moving and buying homes mostly in cash due to lack of financing options. Jim picked this stock and I happen to be all for it. Play on.
On another note, I would like to apologize for suggesting NWAC, but there was no way to tell how badly the recent disaster was going to effect oil and airlines. NWAC is down about 10% today. Later today Dubya is expected to open the petroleum reserves. If that happens it will be up around 4% or so from here. Buy at your own risk.
Otherwise, go VLO, my pick from last month. You should keep in mind that VLO is going to get about 10 times larger in the next two years. So if it pulls back tomorrow (and it should) then I would long this position in a heart beat.
